about

This surprise release finds Victorian Bug milking the last drops of its well known sound: drones, textures, distortion, unsettling samples and black humour.

This time, the bug delivers five tracks that step on different and intriguing territories. "Three days of Beslan" is surprisingly soothing and melodic, although quite eerie, using rusty sounds, both acoustic and synthy, as well as a kids choir. "Alabama hot pocket PTSD" starts straightforward and industrial, although it veers towards more friendly routes around its middle section before reaching a finale that almost sounds like Swans. "Stop looking for meaning in random shit" is nothing but noisy sequencers and minimalistic semi-tuned guitars... until an out-of-the-blue punk/ska conclusion.

The release opts for a quieter tail. "Angels pee cascades of sacrilegous hope" and "Pet killings, fire settings and bed wettings" revolve around echoes, drones, pianos, bells, and soft vintage computer-like sounds.

about

Victorian Bug Madrid, Spain

VICTORIAN BUG is a side-project from The Kiss That Took A Trip's only memeber Trello. It's music in its loosest definition. It's dark and horrible sonic debris. It follows no rules and it takes no prisoners... Or maybe it's a huge joke on everybody.
