about

Victorian Bug stays productive and quickly goes back into the studio to record a batch of songs that revolve around noise and imperfection. Low production values make a comeback for a difficult listen that, still, makes room for a few unpredicted melodic bursts.

This mix of lo-fi and melody is the basis of "Suicide belts for the Bible belt", "Summoning a winged devil (ain't what it used to be)" and "Crawl back to chemo once you're done with that holistic bullshit". The approach is different for every tune, though. The first one feels like a hallucinating indie rock song, "Summoning" opts for orchestral instrumentation coupled with a disturbed field recording, and the fourth track on this session (there's a music video for this one) is an open tribute to Throbbing Gristle.

"Guts and gore at Wall Street" is all fuzzy drones, and "War kidz (are made of diz)" closes the recording on a brief and naive electronic note.

about

Victorian Bug Madrid, Spain

VICTORIAN BUG is a side-project from The Kiss That Took A Trip's only memeber Trello. It's music in its loosest definition. It's dark and horrible sonic debris. It follows no rules and it takes no prisoners... Or maybe it's a huge joke on everybody.
